Terms and Conditions

Darrell Barnard-Jones Audition Coaching

Last Updated: October 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) set out the legal framework governing the relationship between Darrell Barnard-Jones (hereafter referred to as “The Coach”) and the individual purchasing services or digital products (hereafter referred to as “The Student”). By booking a session, purchasing a digital product, or otherwise engaging the services of The Coach, The Student agrees to be bound by these terms.

1. Independent Operation and Institutional Neutrality

  • Personal Capacity: The Coach operates strictly in an independent, private professional capacity.

  • No Official Representation: The Coach does not speak for, represent, hold official promotional authority on behalf of, or act as an agent for any UK drama school, university, or conservatoire.

  • Ownership of Commentary: All critiques, advice, opinions, methodologies, and training insights delivered by The Coach are entirely his own professional feedback and do not represent the official stance, criteria, or opinions of any external educational institution.

2. No Guarantee of Admittance

  • No Outcome Warranties: The Student explicitly acknowledges that the performing arts industry and drama school admissions processes are highly subjective and competitive.

  • Admissions Disclaimer: Engaging in one-to-one tuition, purchasing the video course, or receiving a self-tape review from The Coach does not guarantee, imply, or promise admittance, call-backs, or acceptance into any UK drama school, conservatoire, or higher education institution.

3. Panel Assessment & Conflict of Interest Policy

  • Professional Duty: The Coach maintains active professional relationships within the drama education sector. If The Coach receives an official audition submission or self-tape through an official drama school admissions or institutional audition process from a Student he has coached privately, he is under a strict professional and legal obligation to declare a conflict of interest.

  • Reallocation of Assessment: In such an event, The Coach will immediately recuse himself from evaluating that specific submission and will pass the Student’s audition materials to an independent panel member or alternative assessor for evaluation. The Student agrees that private coaching will neither advantage nor disadvantage them in any official institutional assessment process.

4. The Audition Video Course & Lifetime Access

  • Scope of Definition: The terms in this section apply to the digital program broadly referred to as the "Audition Video Course," which encompasses any digital program, video series, masterclass, online module, or instructional video content offered by Darrell Barnard-Jones, under any title, branding, or name it may currently or subsequently be marketed by.

  • Lifetime Access: Purchasing the Audition Video Course grants The Student "lifetime access" to the material. This is defined as continuous access to view the digital course materials for as long as the digital platform is actively maintained and operated by The Coach.

  • Refund Policy: Due to the immediate, downloadable, and streaming nature of digital content, all sales of the Audition Video Course (under any name) are final. No refunds will be issued once platform access has been granted to The Student.

5. Intellectual Property & Distribution Prohibition

  • Proprietary Content: All video footage, audio, workbooks, text, and course materials provided within the Audition Video Course are the exclusive intellectual property of Darrell Barnard-Jones.

  • Strict Sharing Ban: The Student is granted a single-user, non-transferable licence for personal educational use only. It is strictly prohibited to copy, download (unless explicitly permitted), record, share, distribute, stream publicly, or pass on the video footage or platform login credentials to any third party.

  • Termination of Access: Any violation of this clause will result in the immediate and permanent termination of The Student's access to the course without a refund, and The Coach reserves the right to pursue further legal remedies for intellectual property infringement.

6. One-to-One Tuition & Rescheduling

  • Payment: Payment for all one-to-one coaching sessions must be made in full at the time of booking to secure the appointment.

  • Cancellation Window: The Student must provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a one-to-one session.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as non-attendance (no-shows), will forfeit the full session fee, and no refund or make-up session will be provided.

7. 1st Round Self-Tape Review Service

  • Submission Requirements: The Student is responsible for providing functional, clear video links or files in accordance with the technical guidelines specified by The Coach at the time of purchase.

  • Scope of Service: The service includes a one-off professional evaluation and feedback summary of the submitted tape. Subsequent reviews or follow-up questions require a separate booking.

8. Governing Law

  • This Agreement and any disputes arising out of it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
